[Hey potential employers, check out my resume if that’s something you fancy!]
Wow, welcome to my website! You’re probably on this page because you’re curious as to who is responsible for the (brilliant) content on Wanders & Rambles, am I right? Or perhaps you want to get to know me before you openly ridicule me? Regardless, you’ve found yourself in the right place!
Greetings, I’m Bre Legan.
I’m a wanderlust-stricken twenty-something with roots in the Midwest. I currently attend a small liberal arts school, Drury University, where I study Writing, Graphic Design, and Photography. I think I’m mostly using college as an excuse to explore various directions in life before I pick one (vague) direction (and of course, learning a lot about myself and the world in the process).
I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively in the United States, thanks to a family that made travel a priority in raising awesome human beings. We’ve roadtripped to Florida, New Orleans, and all of the states west of Missouri. We’ve also visited a couple small towns in Mexico and much of southwest Canada. On my own, I’ve traveled to Guatemala and various cities in the US. Last summer, I interned in Dharamsala, India, with an international volunteer organization, Cross-Cultural Solutions. I lived and worked in a community of many cultures and traditions, generating content and running social media accounts for CCS. After a few short weeks back in the States, I picked up again and moved to Florence, Italy, where I studied art for the year at Santa Reparata International School of Art. This past summer, I wrapped a three-and-a-half-month backpacking trip across Europe with a good friend of mine. Now, I’m finishing up my final year of undergrad and trying not to get hit with post-travel blues. From there, who knows? I’m currently contemplating the Fulbright program abroad, Peace Corps, returning to CCS as a Program Specialist, or perhaps something completely unrelated.
Obviously, I love travel.
I also love photography, videography, writing, reading, painting, watching documentaries and Wes Anderson films, and perusing YouTube for tutorials on things I will probably never need to know how to do. My clothing of choice is black t-shirts, jeans, red shoes, and hats. I am addicted to Myers-Briggs personality types.
Oh, and I enjoy learning and enriching human life, and strive to improve the overall human condition.
If you find me endearing (or that the very least, my life interesting), you should follow along with my wandering and rambling ways!
